What if our tiny lost cryptos became useful?
The parable of the wallet.
After a vacation, there are often a few coins left at the bottom of your wallet. Individually, they can’t buy a coffee or a bus ticket. But together, they could pay for a meal.
What if we applied the same logic to our crypto “dusts”?
Our crypto wallets are sometimes filled with tiny leftovers – a few cents of Bitcoin, fractions of Ether or USDC.
These small amounts – called dusts – are too small to be used: transaction fees cost more than the value itself.
The result: they sit idle, unused.
DustEthic is an open reflection:
👉 How could we turn these digital specks into meaningful micro-donations for NGOs?
Today: it’s already possible to donate directly to an NGO in crypto, but transaction fees still fall on the donor.
Tomorrow: thanks to relayers and Account Abstraction mechanisms, it could become possible to pre-fill a transaction, delegate fees to a sponsor, and aggregate these micro-donations – with full public traceability.
What DustEthic is not:
-
No token.
-
No custody of funds.
-
No intermediaries.
It’s an idea – a lab – an invitation to discussion.
Conclusion
If you’re an NGO, a developer, or simply curious: I’d love to hear your feedback.
